The 44th took to the 5 Valleys again in support of the Meningitis Trust, a select band of the senior members accompanying the ESL and his good lady around the 21mile route in the glorious autumnal sunshine. The weather was not so enjoyable a week later for the 10 members who joined the Gloucester District crews in the grey, wet, cold conditions on South Cerney's lakes. A second place in the Youth Boat Races was earned by the Gloucester 2 crew.

Summer Expedition July 2009 - A select group took their bikes off to explore the hilly lanes(!) around Dartmouth before heading swiftly north to Silverstone and a weekend of Vintage Car Racing and Latin Rock beat
