For the first time for years, the annual Sports Day was affected by heavy rain and had to be postponed from the evening of Thursday 5th July until the following day, when the boys at school got an unexpected break from normal lessons to take part in or spectate the rescheduled games. With the grey storm clouds still swirling around and conditions underfoot described as "soft", all events were successfully completed.
