The Senior Scout troop played a not too insignificant role in the life of Sir Thomas Rich's School prior to 1967, when it then morphed into the 44th Venture Scout Unit, under the Scout Movement's age group restructuring.
Although currently little physical material has survived in the unit's records to be considered for this archive section in the 44th's history, it is hoped additional material may be added following ongoing researches being carried out by the VSL.
