Quite a busy year in the life of the 44th. A lot of preparation work was carried out readying a large expedition 'force' for the unit's summer trip to Norway. A forward party of 4 setting out in an equipment laden minibus to make the ferry crossing to the land of the mountain and pine, followed a few days later by the main group flying out. Their adventures detailed exquisitely(!) in the new all-colour web-based Venture 44 Norway Expedition Special!
With Editor Rachael Brown heading off to John Moores University in Liverpool to study Forensic Science & Microbiology, the Unit was left sadly lacking the necessary DTP & Graphics Design skills to seemlessly continue with publishing the V44 in its traditional paper format; coupled with the Bursar's desire to now charge full whack for photocopying costs, this prompted the Exec's decision to switch solely to electronic web-based editions only, with all the advantages that brought with it. This also suited the more digitally focused skill set now available within the unit.
