The creativity of our young artists has always been prolific and imaginative, enlightened by a succession of talented and visionary teachers, whose common skill has been to ignite the imaginations of their student artists, guiding and developing their considerable and growing talents to produce work that has been relevent, celebratory, often humorous, sometimes dark, inventive, resourceful, ingenious, enterprising, unorthodox, whimsical, sometimes macabre ... yet always fresh - a commentary of the life and times they were experiencing as they grew.
It is a shame that we could not capture all their output - one or two items of their original work survive in the physical archives at school but unless published, much of it is likely now gone forever. Since the advent of digital scanners and cameras in the 1980s, and later on from around 2017 by using photo and video-sharing social networking, the astute art teacher, however, has kept their creations digitally alive and we are pleased to be able to share them with you in the galleries below.
