Towards the end of March the school was subject to an Ofsted inspection. With the new style inspection schools only get the "dreaded" phone call that the inspectors are coming on the Friday afternoon before the week they arrive! Nevertheles the school was adjudged to be "outstanding" in all eight categories. A copy of the official report can be read on the Ofsted website www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports
Congratulations must go to all at the school for this rich endorsement of excellence. Extra special praise should be given to the teaching staff - the "enablers" - who devote so much of themselves (many far beyond the call of duty) not just to the academic progression of their charges but also more importantly to their character-building and personal development.
